15 minutes of fame

What does it all mean?

Just typed my name into Google and hit "I'm Feeling Lucky." I swear to you, loyal and adored reader, that I've never done it before. Honestly.

My Sun Software Forum persona came up with pointers to my answers on LDAP-related questions.

I then did it for the LDAP server architect I share an office with, and he of course came up... but not for LDAP!

Strange web topology.

Marcus,

Netscape used to have a very active external alias for the LDAP Directory Server.
When Sun took it over, they killed it, waited for ages and then put in place a terrible web interface to a bunch of forums. At that point I gave up on the external alias.

However, it's good to see that swforum.sun.com
is actually a nice interface and pretty active.

Rob.

Ludo says that was all done to winnow the spam out automatically. I agree with you about the usability. A mailing list is something I can easily integrate into what I'm already doing. A website probably is not.

It's a shame we're publishing the source for Solaris, but not the internal directory-interest archives.
