With a 10Gbit backbone we can now run lots of tests between the labs effectively at 1Gbit. But that’s not going to be enough for long. We are already seeing requests for architectures that will require 4 x 1Gbit trunking.

The air in the valley looked ugly from above today. When I returned late morning yesterday after the trip to Atlanta, the traffic jams were huge in the other direction.

Yesterday evening the girls dressed up for the Carnival parade through Barraux. This picture, taken after 6 pm right before the dragon started down the local streets, do not show how clear and warm the day was earlier. A good day for a parade.
Diane said she was a Brazilian, with deep pink dress and gold glitter shoes. She had tried to add lipstick appropriately, but ended up looking more like a vampire from the neck up.
Emma went as a cat, with drawn-on whiskers and black tip of the nose.
Tim is too grown up now to dress up, although there were plenty of guys from the village looking very silly. Our plumber looked like something out Dr. Seuss.
Nathalie stayed with them until they burned the dragon after 8 pm. Much more Carnival than she wanted.
